Dean Keith Elkin is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the Office for Academic Success (OAS). The main goal of OAS is to develop and deliver programs that promote academic success for J.D. students during their matriculation in law school and to prepare them to enter the legal profession. This includes programming that supports students from orientation through all years of law school to the bar exam. Dean Elkin works with students individually and in small and large group settings to improve academic skills, written legal analysis, exam taking, and time management. He provides feedback to students on practice exams, writing exercises, and other academic work throughout their law school careers. Dean Elkin also advises students on issues related to registration, academic progress, and bar administration. He teaches Higher Education Law Practice in the Fall and Fundamental Skills for the Bar Examination in the Spring. He is the author of books and articles on bar exam preparation, including 'Fundamental Skills for the Bar Examination' and 'Higher Education Law Practice: A Guide to Taking the Bar Exam (Again)'.
