Biography

Keith Evan Green is a Professor at Cornell University in the Department of Human Centered Design and the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to joining Cornell’s faculty, he held the Mickel Endowed Chair in Architecture and was a Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Clemson University, where he was the founding director of the Clemson University Institute for Intelligent Materials, Systems, and Environments. He earned a B.A. in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a licensed architect and Senior Member of the IEEE, Green's research focuses on the interaction between architectural design, robotics, and psychology through his trans-disciplinary Architectural Robotics Lab. His lab develops and evaluates cyber-physical environments that support an increasingly digital society. His work aims to create techno-ecological systems that enhance interactions between people and their surroundings, defining spaces of social, cultural, and psychological significance, with specific research interests in human-robot interaction, continuum robots, and non-verbal human-robot communication.
