Biography

Born in Belfast, Keith Hamilton began studying physics at the University of Oxford in 1996, earning a master's degree in 2000 and a doctorate in 2004. He continued to explore theoretical physics through a series of postdoctoral positions, where he was fortunate to be mentored by researchers in collider physics theory. In 2013, he returned to the UK and joined University College London (UCL) as a lecturer in the CERN theory division. His appointment at UCL is within the Department of Physics and Astronomy, where he engages in research supervision for degrees, consultancy, and overseeing taught course research projects. Hamilton has been involved in numerous prestigious academic positions, including a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Durham's Institute of Particle Physics Phenomenology and a senior research fellowship at CERN, focusing on theoretical physics.
