Biography

Keith Knight studied Mathematics at the University of British Columbia, receiving a B.Sc. in 1982. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Washington in 1986. Knight joined the Department of Statistics at the University of Toronto in 1988 and served as Chair of the department from 2002 to 2008. His research interests include asymptotic theory, non-regular estimation, quantile regression, and extreme value theory. He has made significant contributions to the field of theoretical statistics and continues to engage in teaching and mentoring within the university.
