Biography

Keith Woodhouse teaches courses in the Department of History and is involved in the Environmental Policy Culture program. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin in 2010. His research focuses on environmental history, intellectual history, and political history within the context of the twentieth-century United States. He authored 'Ecocentrists: A History of Radical Environmentalism', which examines the philosophical commitments of radical environmentalists and their relationship to the American political thought. Woodhouse has taught at several campuses within the University of Wisconsin system and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. His teaching interests include courses on twentieth-century U.S. history and American environmental history, where he also guides graduate students in research covering environmental, political, and intellectual history.
