Dr. Kelly Kovaric

Biography

Kelly Kovaric, a Clinical Associate Professor at Dell Medical School, specializes in professional identity formation and health systems science leadership development. She is a board-certified general hospital pediatrician, actively teaching residents and medical students at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Kovaric's research interests are centered around professional identity formation, health systems science education, and implementation science research. She has contributed to numerous national, regional, and local medical education committees, including her role as chair of the Innovation, Leadership, and Discovery Subcommittee at Dell Med. Before joining Dell Med in 2020, Kovaric worked as a general pediatrician in various settings, where she designed medical education curricula and led quality improvement initiatives. Her innovative approaches focus on enhancing patient care through the design of treatment protocols. Kovaric has mentored many students in both medical education and implementation science research. Currently, she co-leads a research initiative aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare utilization among hospitalized children.
