Biography

Kelly Lyons is a Professor at the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining the Faculty of Information, she served as the Program Director at IBM Toronto Lab Centre for Advanced Studies. Her current research interests include service science, knowledge mobilization, and collaborative work, with a focus on supporting human-to-human interactions within service systems and data-driven knowledge mobilization. Professor Lyons has co-authored numerous papers and has been active in various program committees for conferences, presenting keynotes, and co-chairing workshops. She has received several grants including the NSERC Strategic Partnership Grant and the NSERC Discovery Grants. Additionally, she is involved in promoting women in technology initiatives, providing presentations to young people and teachers on this topic. Her appointments include acting Vice-Dean of Research Program Innovation, School of Graduate Studies, and being an IBM Faculty Fellow. She is also a member-at-large on the Executive Council of ACM-W.
