Kelly Lyons is a Professor at the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining the Faculty of Information, she was the Program Director at the IBM Toronto Lab Centre for Advanced Studies. Her current research interests include service science, knowledge mobilization, and collaborative work. Professor Lyons currently focuses on ways to support human-to-human interactions within service systems and data-driven knowledge mobilization. She has co-authored a number of papers, served on program committees for various conferences, and has given keynote and invited presentations. Additionally, she has co-chaired workshops and is a recipient of numerous grants including the NSERC Strategic Partnership Grant, NSERC Discovery Grants, and MITACS Accelerate Grants. Kelly is also committed to promoting Women in Technology initiatives and has presented on this topic to young people and teachers. In her administrative roles, she has served as Acting Vice-Dean for Research Program Innovation and as an IBM Faculty Fellow.
