Biography

Ken Martin is the Information & Technology Manager at the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN) project, where he is responsible for planning and coordinating the collection of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data from 10 regional offices across Canada. He supervises regional Data Managers, manages relationships with EMR vendors, and develops the processes and infrastructure required to implement the extraction, cleaning, and uploading of EMR data into a central data repository. Ken has over 20 years of experience in developing a wide variety of database and end-user applications for both private and public sector clients. His previous roles include chief software architect and senior developer for a major EMR product, as well as project manager and senior developer for a trade export information system used by Canadian embassies worldwide.
