Kendra Thomson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University. She obtained her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Manitoba in 2011 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Developmental Disabilities Mental Health lab at York University before joining Brock University in 2014. Kendra holds a part-time Scientist position at the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. With decades of experience in diverse clinical research environments, she is dedicated to supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental differences across the lifespan. Kendra's research focuses on community-engaged initiatives aimed at translating evidence-based behavioral training strategies to empower individuals and their support networks, enhancing independence and improving mental health and overall quality of life. She has published 50 articles, including contributions from her trainees, and has presented at 150 conferences. Kendra previously served as President of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis and was honored with the Jerry Shook Award by the Association for Professional Behavior Analysts in 2021.
