Professor Dr. Kenichi Takahata

Biography

Kenichi Takahata has held various industrial research positions at prominent companies like Panasonic in Japan and 3M in the USA for over ten years before joining the University of British Columbia. His research primarily explores a wide range of micro and nanofabrication techniques, focusing on applications for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and micromachined devices. He is known for his innovative work in areas such as microplasma control, medical MEMS, and wireless drug delivery systems, as well as developments in smart stents.
