Dr. Kenneth Corts

Biography

Professor Kenneth S. Corts specializes in Economic Analysis and Policy at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he holds the Marcel Desautels Chair in Entrepreneurship. He serves as the Academic Director of the Rotman Sustainability Initiative and has occupied various leadership positions at the University of Toronto, including Interim Dean and Acting Vice-President. He has extensive experience as a visiting professor at institutions such as UCLA and INSEAD and previously worked at Harvard Business School as an Assistant and Associate Professor. His research focuses on microeconomics, specifically in areas like industrial organization, competition policy, and energy policy, with contributions published in leading academic journals. Corts has also edited academic publications and has experience providing expert testimony in competition policy cases. He earned his PhD and MA in Economics from Princeton University and a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Furman University. His teaching includes subjects such as managerial economics and game theory, emphasizing strategic decision-making in business contexts.
