Biography

Kenneth Craig is Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and serves as the Director of the BC Pain Research Network. He obtained his PhD from Purdue University in 1964. Professor Craig has had a long academic career at UBC, where he directed the Graduate Programme in Clinical Psychology and served as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. His research focuses on pain assessment through nonverbal methods, particularly in infants, children, and individuals with intellectual disabilities or cognitive impairments. Craig has published over 250 scholarly articles and nine books and has been recognized with numerous awards for his contributions to pain psychology and mentorship.
