Dr. Kenneth Hoyt

Biography

Kenneth Hoyt is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, his research focuses on cancer diagnosis and therapy monitoring. Dr. Hoyt specializes in biomedical image processing and quantitative imaging biomarkers, contributing extensively to the advancement of tissue characterization and ultrasound imaging therapies. His expertise is recognized through his affiliation with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and his membership in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, where he was named a Fellow in 2014. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Texas Instruments Distinguished University Chair in Bioengineering at the University of Texas at Dallas and the Outstanding Faculty Research Award from the College of Engineering at the same institution. His work continues to influence the fields of medical imaging and cancer treatment, fostering innovation in how these technologies are applied in clinical settings.
