Biography

Kenneth LeDez is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and serves as the Director of the Centre for Offshore Remote Medicine (MEDICOR). He also holds the position of Medical Director for Hyperbaric Medicine and leads the MEDICOR Laboratory. His clinical research interests focus on inhaled anesthetics, the purity of breathing gases, measurement of gases in blood, hyperbaric medicine, healthcare organization, and standards. LeDez has received speaker's honoraria from Abbott Laboratories and has previously been awarded research grants from Abbott Laboratories, GlaxoSmithKline, Glaxo Wellcome, and Glaxo Winthrop Laboratories. He also holds an equity position in a commercial interest company related to pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, and has patents in scientific and medical equipment that provide commercial benefits.
