Dr. Kenneth Peddicord

Biography

Kenneth L. Peddicord is a Senior Professor at Texas A&M University in the Department of Nuclear Engineering. With an extensive background in the field, he obtained his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1972, following a Master's degree in the same discipline in 1967. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, earned in 1965. Throughout his career, Peddicord has contributed significantly to various areas of nuclear engineering, including reactor systems and design, behavior of nuclear fuels, and the disposition of fissile materials. His expertise extends into Advanced Nuclear Power Systems, Generation IV technologies, and the implications of nuclear-generated hydrogen economies. He is actively involved in researching the nuclear workforce and its dynamics.
