Professor Dr. Kenneth Shropshire

Biography

Kenneth L. Shropshire is the David W. Hauck Professor Emeritus at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an expert in Legal Studies and Business Ethics, as well as Africana Studies. He has had a distinguished career, including serving as the Adidas Distinguished Professor and CEO at the Global Sport Institute at Arizona State University. Shropshire completed a 30-year tenure as a full professor at Wharton, where he also directed the Wharton Sports Business Initiative and served as academic director for the sports-focused executive education programs. A recognized leader in the sports industry, he has held the position of president of the Sports Lawyers Association and served as program chair for the ABA Forum Committee, Sports Law Section. His insights into the sports industry are shared weekly on SiriusXM’s Wharton Sports Business Show, which he co-hosts. Shropshire earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University and his law degree from Columbia University. He is a member of the California bar and has taught various executive education programs aimed at enhancing leadership and strategic skills.
