Biography

Kenneth Williams is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where he also serves as a Clinician Educator and the Director of the EMS Division. He completed his MD at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Williams has held various leadership roles, including Medical Director of Life PACT Critical Care Transport and the Rhode Island Department of Health's EMS Center. He has extensive experience in disaster medicine and serves as Chief Medical Officer for the RI-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team. A past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, he is currently the President-Elect of the RI Chapter of the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians. Dr. Williams has led significant research efforts, including federally funded projects totaling approximately $4 million, focused on emergency medical services and disaster response.
