Professor Dr. Kerby Shedden

Biography

Kerby Shedden received his PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 and joined the University of Michigan in the same year. His research interests lie in the fields of genomics and genetics, particularly in how these areas intersect with life sciences when dealing with large complex datasets. He is invested in computational statistics and the development of statistical software. Professor Shedden participates in collaborative research initiatives that focus on biomarker screening for cancer, outcomes related to kidney disease, cell-based screening to understand the behavior of chemical probes within cells, and genetic association analysis pertaining to longitudinal traits.
