Biography

Keri Kettle is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Telfer School of Management. She earned a B.A. in Honours Business Administration from the Royal Military College of Canada and served 12 years as an Army Logistics Officer. While serving, she completed her M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Calgary and subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Consumer Behaviour from the University of Alberta. Kettle has received several accolades, including the NATO Medal Kosovo and the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal. An active competitive CrossFitter, she also coaches CrossFit, hockey, and baseball. Kettle's research explores consumers’ goal-directed behaviors influenced by identity and anticipated feedback. Her particular interests lie in quantifyable goals, including financial (debt repayment, savings), health (weight loss), and performance goals (athletic achievements). She has contributed to esteemed journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Psychological Science, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
