Biography

Kerstin Lagerstrand is an Adjunct Professor and senior Physicist at the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Her research focuses on the use and development of technologies in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the application of artificial intelligence to enhance MRI investigations for everyday patient care, particularly concerning degenerative spine issues and heart disease diagnostics. With extensive expertise in MRI technology and physics, she collaborates closely with clinicians to ensure her research provides tangible benefits to patients.
