Dr. Kevin Billingsley

Biography

Kevin G. Billingsley, MD, MBA, is a surgical oncologist specializing in the surgical treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. He treats tumors of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts, with a particular focus on metastatic liver tumors. Dr. Billingsley emphasizes collaborative care, working closely with medical oncologists, gastroenterologists, interventional radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care. He values the relationships developed with patients and their families throughout the cancer care journey. As the Chief Medical Officer at the Yale Cancer Center Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Centers, Dr. Billingsley oversees initiatives aimed at improving quality and safety in cancer care. He leads efforts to enhance multidisciplinary team structures and supports facilities planning within the Yale New Haven Health System. Dr. Billingsley’s research interests involve developing new multidisciplinary treatment strategies for metastatic colorectal cancer and strategies to improve clinical outcomes in complex liver and pancreas operations.
