Biography

Kevin DeLuca is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Yale University. He is also a Resident Fellow at the Institution for Social Policy Studies (ISPS) and a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for the Study of American Politics (CSAP). His research interests encompass political institutions, political economy, and the media, with a particular focus on election laws and the role of local newspapers in politics. Kevin completed his Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government at Harvard University in 2023. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, obtained in 2015, and a combined B.A./B.S. in Economics and Psychology from the same institution in 2014. DeLuca is actively involved in teaching, offering courses including American Politics III: Political Institutions and Data Analytics: Redistricting and Voting Rights, as well as Regulating Elections: Voting Rights Practice in Fall 2023. He serves as the American Politics Public Policy Workshop Coordinator for the 2023-2024 academic year.
