Kevin completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield, investigating a range of social movement groups contesting globalization. He subsequently worked as a Research Assistant at City University (London) on an ESRC funded project on Anti-War Activism. Kevin joined the University of Manchester as a Lecturer in Sociology in 2007. His publications include the co-authored monograph 'Anti-War Activism: New Media Protest in the Information Age' (2008, Palgrave) and collaborative edited collections such as 'Research Ethics and Social Movements' (2015, Routledge) and 'Technology, Media and Social Movements' (2019, Routledge). Kevin's recent writings adopt a theoretical approach focusing on the interplay of time, space, and social movements within the context of neoliberalism. He is currently working on a monograph with the working title 'Capitalism Matters: Polity, Economy & Society' (Red Globe Press). His teaching is centered around Work, Economy & Society, Global Social Challenges, and a Pre-University Sociology course.
