Biography

Kevin James is the Scottish Studies Foundation Chair and a Professor of History at the University of Guelph, where he has been a faculty member since 2000. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, an M.A. from McGill University, and a B.A. from McGill University, where he was awarded the Governor-General's Medal for his exceptional undergraduate performance. He actively collaborates internationally, focusing on different aspects of hotel culture and tourism studies, and welcomes graduate students interested in these areas. Additionally, he is involved in public outreach and communication through various media platforms and has recently edited significant publications in the field of tourism history.
