Dr. Kevin Kozin

Biography

Kevin M. Kozin is a lecturer and online course facilitator at the Boston University School of Social Work, where he specializes in psychotherapy and grief counseling. He has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, employing a range of clinical treatment modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic approaches. He is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers in Massachusetts, currently serving as chair of the Greater Boston Private Practice Committee and as co-chair of the NASW-MA Strategic Planning Committee. He is also a board member and executive committee member of various mental health and substance abuse organizations. Kevin holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice from Boston University, and a Master of Theological Studies in Pastoral Counseling from Boston University. His post-graduate fellowship focused on psychoanalysis, and he has a background in hospice care, psychotherapeutic interventions for major medical illnesses, and pediatric palliative care, integrating spiritual and religious dimensions into his practice.
