Biography

Kevin Lam is a Lecturer at Columbia Law School and the Supervising Attorney/Clinic Director at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of the Legal Aid Society. In his role, he oversees the clinic's efforts in providing legal representation and legislative advocacy for low-income New Yorkers, as well as conducting training and outreach initiatives. Kevin specializes in tax controversy matters, representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, and the U.S. Tax Court. Prior to his current position, he served as a senior staff attorney at Queens Legal Services, practicing in the areas of tax and housing law. Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from the Cardozo School of Law.
