Dr. Kevin Linderman

Biography

Kevin Linderman is a professor and Department Head at Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University, focusing on supply chain management. Prior to his current position, he served as the Curtis L. Carlson Professor of Supply Chain Operations at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Dr. Linderman has been recognized as one of the top 10 productive and influential scholars in the field by the Decision Sciences Journal in 2020. He has received multiple awards including the Supply Chain & Operations Teaching Award in 2018 and the Operations Management Scholar Award in 2016. His research adopts a problem-driven approach, addressing issues such as process improvement, environmental management, and innovation in supply chains. He has collaborated with leading organizations like 3M, Cargill, and Alibaba on various research projects, with his work published in prestigious journals like Management Science and the Journal of Operations Management. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Operations Research/Management from Case Western Reserve University and multiple degrees in Mathematics and Management Science. Linderman teaches various courses including Supply Chain Strategy and Individual Studies, emphasizing the strategic importance of supply chain decisions.
