Biography

Professor Kevin Luhman holds a B.A. and B.S. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Texas at Austin (1993) and a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Arizona (1998). Utilizing the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), Luhman has pursued investigations into colossal brown dwarfs in nearby star-forming regions, exploring their spectral classes, initial mass functions, and their population statistics. His contributions to the field continually advance our understanding of stellar dynamics and characteristics in various cosmic environments.
