Dr. Kevin Oh

Biography

Kevin Oh is an adjunct fellow at Macquarie University with a concentration in evolutionary ecology. His research interests encompass genetics and genomics, emphasizing local adaptation and conservation biology. He adeptly applies principles of evolutionary biology and population genetics, utilizing modern whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatic analyses to tackle pressing issues in invasive species management, wildlife conservation, and the development of new biocontrol techniques across both vertebrate and invertebrate animal systems. He completed his PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, focusing on the evolutionary dynamics of sexual traits, addressing the demographic, behavioral, and genetic contingencies shaping these traits. Kevin has also held external positions as a research scientist and visiting scientist at CSIRO, contributing to various research outputs in the field since 2006.
