Kevin Outterson is a Professor at Boston University School of Law and an expert in health law, particularly in the areas of law and economics pertaining to pharmaceutical innovation and antimicrobial resistance. He serves as Executive Director of CARB-X, an initiative focused on combating antibiotic-resistant bacteria through biopharmaceutical innovation. Outterson has contributed significantly to the fields of health law, ethics, and human rights, particularly as it relates to public health policy. With a legal education from Northwestern University (JD) and advanced studies at the University of Cambridge (LLM), his academic expertise extends to the analysis of laws affecting public health, as well as managing complex biopharmaceutical projects aimed at addressing global health crises.
