Dr. Kevin Schuster

Biography

Kevin Schuster, MD, MPH is a Professor at Yale School of Medicine specializing in General Surgery, Trauma, and Surgical Critical Care. He completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Drexel University and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He underwent residency training in General Surgery at UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Cooper University Hospital and completed his fellowship in Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Schuster is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and has a strong focus on patient outcomes, especially in the context of trauma and emergency surgery. His research interests include continuous glucose monitoring, long-term outcomes in trauma and emergency surgery, and the optimization of emergency surgical care. He has been actively involved in leadership positions across various professional organizations and has received several awards for his contributions to surgical education and practice.
