Biography

Kevin Tang joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University in 2007 as a professor. Prior to his position at Cornell, he was a junior fellow at the Social Information Sciences Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology during the 2006-2007 academic year. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Applied Computational Mathematics from Caltech in 2006. From 2016 to 2019, he served as the Director of Graduate Studies for Cornell ECE. His research interests broadly include control and optimization of computer networks, focusing on network science, control theory, and game theory. He teaches courses in probability, random signals, computer networks, optimal systems analysis, and control optimization, among others.
