Dr. Kevin Tasa

Biography

Kevin Tasa is an Associate Professor at Schulich School of Business, York University, specializing in Organization Studies and serves as the Associate Dean, Academic. He holds an MSc in Health Administration and a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from the University of Toronto. His expertise lies in Health Industry Management, where he has made significant contributions to the understanding of negotiation, team dynamics, collective efficacy, and managerial cognition. Tasa has published research in leading academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Applied Psychology. He has co-authored widely used textbooks on negotiation and Canadian organizational behavior. As a dedicated educator, Tasa has received multiple nominations for the Sydney Schulich MBA Teaching Award and the Basu Teaching Award from McMaster. His current research focuses on negotiation-specific knowledge and the dynamics within negotiation teams, including factors influencing teamwork and decision-making processes. Outside of teaching, he serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Organizational Behavior and has been recognized as an outstanding reviewer by the Academy of Management. Tasa has also secured substantial funding for his research from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
