Biography

Khalil Mouzayian is an Assistant Professor in International Development at the University of Warwick. He holds an MA in Globalisation and Development and a PhD in Politics from the University of Warwick. His academic focus includes critical perspectives on international development, postcolonial and decolonial approaches to knowledge production, and the intersection of gender and social reproduction within political economy contexts. He has previously served as a lecturer in Political Science and International Relations at Nile University of Nigeria. Khalil is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and currently co-directs the Warwick Interdisciplinary Research Centre for International Development (WICID). He teaches modules related to critical development theories and gender studies. His research literature includes topics on educational activism, feminist critiques of social and economic structures, and a number of funded research projects looking into sustainable resource management in West Africa. Khalil is actively engaged in supervising PhD candidates and contributing to various academic publications and blogs related to his research interests.
