Biography

Khanh Dao Duc obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the Ecole Normale Superieure in France in 2013. He has served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia (UBC) since 2019, where he is also affiliated with the Departments of Computer Science and Zoology. In the academic year 2021-2022, he was honored as a Wall Scholar at the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies. His research interests encompass Molecular Cell Biology, Gene Expression, Cryo-Electron Microscopy, Biological Shape Image Analysis, and Machine Learning with a focus on Applied Stochastic Processes.
