Biography

Khoi Le Nguyen is a PhD student in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge. His research interests focus on mathematical physics and the application of pure mathematics to solve various problems in quantum field theory. He is particularly engaged in researching concepts and constructs of arithmetic algebraic geometry that help tackle Diophantine equations related to canceling gauge anomalies. His work extends to formal quantum field theory, emphasizing generalized symmetries and homotopy algebras in formulating colour-kinematics duality. Khoi has previously worked in accelerator physics, specifically developing analytical models to describe the phenomenon of 'beamstrahlung,' which is expected to be detrimental during electron-positron collisions in the planned Future Circular Collider. He teaches as part of the Natural Sciences Tripos and the Mathematics Tripos, conducting examples classes and supervisions on various topics in theoretical physics and relativity.
