Biography

Kieran Dolin's main research interests are the connections between law and literature, Australian literature, and nineteenth-century British writing. He has served as Graduate Research Coordinator for the School of Humanities from 2013 to 2020 and is currently a Senior Honorary Research Fellow in English Literary Studies. His future research focuses on legal ethics and fictional narratives. Dolin has been involved in various grants, including the ARC Discovery Grant from 2011 to 2013 which delved into Australian literature related to Mabo, and another grant in 2004 focused on law and literature as a critical historical study. His previous roles include being a member of the Board of the Graduate Research School from 2012 to 2017, and holding the position of Discipline Chair for English Cultural Studies during 2007-2009 and 2011-2012. Dolin has a significant research background in legal ethics and literary texts, particularly in Australian literature, with a focus on fiction and the interdisciplinary intersections of law and literature, spanning both nineteenth and twentieth-century literature. He has directed the Westerly Centre at the University of Western Australia and has been involved in multiple research projects throughout his career.
