Dr. Kieron Flanagan

Biography

Kieron Flanagan is a Professor of Science and Technology Policy and a member of the Alliance Manchester Business School, as well as the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research. His academic work focuses on the conceptual and empirical aspects of science, technology, and innovation policy, having advised various policy-makers at international, national, and local levels. He has published work in numerous journals, including Research Policy, Regional Studies, and Science Public Policy, contributing insights on innovation dynamics, particularly in the context of knowledge-intensive business services and creative sectors. His research includes examining regional science innovation policies and the role of science diplomacy in addressing global challenges.
