Biography

Kieva Hranchuk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University. With over 15 years of experience in behavior analysis, she specializes in teacher and clinician training, supervision, and the delivery of evidence-based services to clients with disabilities. Hranchuk earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Queen’s University and furthered her education with a post-graduate certificate in Behavioral Science Technology from George Brown College. She received her M.A. in Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis and Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University. Kieva has taught at Columbia University and Arizona State University, where she served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Honours Bachelor of Behavioral Psychology program at St. Lawrence College. She is actively involved with the Association for Behavior Analysis International as the Co-Coordinator for the Behavioral Development area. Her research interests include effective instructional delivery, learning rate analysis, decision analysis techniques incorporating artificial intelligence, as well as strategies for inclusion and kindergarten readiness. Hranchuk's scholarly contributions include publications in respected journals and participation in book chapters that explore methods for teaching children to become fluent readers and writers.
