Biography

Dr. Kim Bull began her higher education as a mature student, working part-time while raising young children. In 1998, she joined the University of Southampton as a Research Assistant while pursuing her MSc in Psychological Research Methods, having previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Since 2001, she has been involved in European treatment trials focusing on health-related quality of life (QoL) for children treated for brain tumors, primarily medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumor in childhood. By 2003, Dr. Bull began studying QoL outcomes for children in the European treatment trial, PNET4, and in 2014 she took on the responsibility of quality survival data collection for the current European trial, PNET5. In addition to her research, she has directed projects investigating QoL in children with medulloblastoma versus typically developing children, which contributed to her obtaining a PhD in 2013 after seven years of part-time study. In her leisure time, Dr. Bull enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends, as well as walking and cycling in the countryside around Chichester Harbour.
