Biography

Kimberly Hannam is a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, focusing on Public Health Epidemiology with an emphasis on maternal, fetal, and child health, particularly in relation to physical activity. She has worked on observational studies as well as trials, gaining experience in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and managing complex multicentre studies. Currently, she is the Trial Manager for the NAP SACC UK study within the Centre for Public Health at the University of Bristol. This multicentre cluster randomized controlled trial evaluates the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of environmental nutrition and physical activity interventions in nurseries. Kimberly completed her PhD in Epidemiology in 2013 at the University of Manchester, which explored the effects of air pollution on perinatal outcomes in England. She was also awarded a 1st Class BSc in Medical Sciences with Humanities. Kimberly has previously worked as a Senior Research Associate in Translational Health Sciences, coordinating a large multicentre study on Physical Activity and Musculoskeletal Health (VIBE). She has experience in both undergraduate and master's level teaching within the University of Bristol.
