Biography

Kimberly Horstman is a Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatrics, currently serving as the Neonatal Hospitalist Site Lead at John Muir Medical Center. She began her medical career later than most, initially editing children's educational books before attending the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. After graduating in 2001, she completed her residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 2004. Since 2006, she has primarily worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist, and since 2016, her focus has been on caring for newborns in the Level 2 and 3 NICU. In addition to her clinical duties, she is actively involved in professional organizations, holding a fellowship with the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2018.
