Kimberly Powell holds a dual appointment in the School of Visual Arts and is currently the Graduate Coordinator for the Art Education program in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction within the College of Education. Powell has published extensively in various journals such as Anthropology & Education Quarterly and the International Journal of Education & Arts, and her work includes book chapters on arts education and qualitative methodologies. She serves on the editorial board for Studies in Art Education and has received notable recognition for her dissertation on taiko drumming, among other achievements.
