Biography

King Yuk (Eric) Chan received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, in 2005, 2007, and 2011, respectively. From 2008 to 2009, he was a research assistant at the Centre for Integrated RF Engineering (CIRFE), University of Waterloo, Canada. He held a post-doctoral fellowship at the ICT Centre, CSIRO, Marsfield, NSW, Australia, from 2011 to 2013, where he was involved in industrial research projects. Since 2014, he has been a Lecturer at UNSW, focusing on the design, characterization, and fabrication of front-end devices operating at RF and terahertz frequencies. He is a member of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) and the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S), and serves as a reviewer for several top-tier journals in his field. His research interests include RF, microwave, millimeter-wave (mm-wave), and terahertz engineering, with a focus on developing new technologies to enhance the performance of circuits and devices for wireless communications and healthcare domains.
