Dr. Kiran Atmuri

Biography

Kiran Atmuri is an experienced medical professional currently serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at Monash University. He has a robust educational background, having attended postgraduate medical school at the Australian National University and receiving a traveling scholarship to the University of Cambridge. He commenced his career with an internship and residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and pursued specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital, where he successfully trained for five years. His extensive experience at the tertiary level enables him to proficiently manage low and higher-risk pregnancies. He has trained in sub-specialty units focusing on Pelvic Pain and the Pelvic Floor, teaching techniques to manage complex gynaecological conditions. Kiran has also completed further training at Peninsula Health and Monash Health, and is committed to medical education research. He holds an academic position that allows him to stay updated on the latest treatment options and actively supervises research projects related to COVID-19 in pregnancy, nutrition during pregnancy, and minimally-invasive technologies to manage post-surgical bleeding. In addition to his teaching and supervisory roles, Kiran is a published author in international journals and has presented his work at various conferences.
