Biography

Kiran Kedlaya received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. Over the years, he has held postdoctoral positions at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, the University of California at Berkeley, and the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Kedlaya has been a faculty member at MIT, where he has served as an Assistant Professor and then as an Associate Professor. His research focuses on a broad range of topics related to arithmetic algebraic geometry and number theory, with particular expertise in p-adic cohomology, p-adic Hodge theory, and computational number theory. He has been recognized as a speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2010 and is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society. His accolades include the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, along with the Clay Liftoff Fellowship.
