Dr. Kiran Khush

Biography

Kiran Khush is a board-certified, fellowship-trained heart failure cardiologist at Stanford Health Care. As a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Khush specializes in caring for patients with advanced heart failure requiring heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Her research focuses on developing evidence-based guidelines for evaluating donor heart acceptance in transplantation and studying novel ways to monitor and prevent early and long-term complications following heart transplantation. Dr. Khush has co-authored over 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including distinguished publications such as Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Furthermore, she often presents her research at both national and international meetings, including the annual sessions of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) and the American Society of Transplantation. Throughout her career, Dr. Khush has been an active member of ISHLT, participating in various committees and contributing to advancements in cardiovascular medicine.
