Biography

Kirandeep Kaur is a second-year PhD student at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science, University of Washington. She is associated with the Infoseeking Lab and RAISE, under the supervision of Chirag Shah. Her research focuses on the philosophy of unknown unknowns, approaching potential opportunities and the sources of unintended harm. Kaur is dedicated to designing proactive agentic frameworks capable of anticipating emergent behaviors and identifying opportunities and risks within uncertain environments. Her research efforts are supported by the Microsoft Endowed Fellowship.
