Dr. Knud Wentzel

Biography

Throughout the years, I have researched literature with a focus on psychological and genre-related perspectives, particularly developmental and educational novels and folk tales. Additionally, my interest extends to literary history, where I have participated in several representations of the history of Danish literature as a whole. This leads to my inquiries into the phenomenon of tradition and its development in Danish cultural history. Notably, I am also interested in the intersection of the spiritual and literary experiential worlds, concretized in a monographic project about the only Danish mystic from earlier times who is also a literary author, namely Anker Larsen. I am particularly available as a supervisor in research areas, but also generally in various other literary areas, especially those related to genre, literary analysis, and the history of consciousness.
